May 2021 was an important month for the Ivy Jomtien's development team, as we achieved the all important news that the EIA certification required to build a condominium in Thailand had been issued. Now that the EIA has be awarded the next stages of development can continue.
EIA stands for The Environmental Impact Assessment, which is a process that has been applied in Thailand as a tool for environmental planning and management on development projects since 1981. It helps identify the possible environmental effects of a proposed development. The EIA document itself is a technical tool that identifies, predicts, and analyzes impacts on the physical environment, as well as social, cultural, and health impacts. It is used to establish the appropriate mitigation measures so that Thailand’s natural resources will be used efficiently to the economic benefit and continued development of Thailand, it's fundamentally an evaluation of the significance of both potentially positive and negative effects of a development project.
